Etica Battery Won the Rising Star Award 2023
The 26th Rising Star Award Ceremony sponsored by the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) was held on November 22, 2023 at the National Taiwan University Hospital International Convention Center. After more than five months of evaluation, Etica stood out from more than 400 candidates and won the Award, which recognizes 21 years of efforts and achievements of Etica in expanding the international market. Chairman Mr. Gavin Wang received the trophy from the MOEA Minister Ms. Mei-Hua Wang on the ceremony.
Etica is a professional battery manufacturer. Its products are used in industrial handheld devices, automotive electronics, e-bikes, and energy storage system, which has seen the fastest growth in global demand in recent years. Whether it is a battery for a barcode scanner with voltage less than ten volts or a containerized energy storage system with voltage of thousands of volts, Etica owns the ability to handle everything from structure design, BMS design, safety certification, assembly, testing to mass production, providing customers with customized one-stop services. Etica has supplied a leading automotive electronics manufacturer in Japan with batteries without interruption for fifteen years.
In recent years, the using of renewable energy to generate electricity in various countries has continued to rise. Because energy storage system has the function of storing electricity and then discharging it quickly, it has become an indispensable infrastructure for power distribution in the green era. Energy storage system has multiple functions such as power backup, peak shaving, electricity cost saving, etc. It can help power plants, high electricity users or households achieve the goals of stable electricity supply and net zero carbon emissions. Etica owns track record of more than 30 high-voltage energy storage plants and over 4,000 UPS batteries applied on 5G telecom base stations across the country. Etica will move into new headquarters by the end of 2023, increase employees and production capacity, and make every effort to promote MIT energy storage system internationally.
The Rising Star Award recognizes small and medium-sized enterprises with outstanding performance in global business, corporate governance and sustainable operation. Candidates must be recommended by governmental agencies, industrial and commercial groups, financial companies or academic institutions, and undergo rigorous interviews to clinch the title. This award is considered as a milestone of the road to a mittelstand enterprise. It’s the second time Etica has been recognized for oversea business performance, since being selected for the Dun & Bradstreet Elite SME Award in 2017. All of these achievement relies on the support and efforts of all employees, shareholders, suppliers and customers.
